Mid-week Musical Interlude

I have been very reflective of late. This is a bit of a throwback to another era. I understand the ambivalence people have toward Jackson Browne. I feel it too. But the song is one that really touches on areas of life other than romantic relationships.

Know where/when that was taped??

Hard to realize, at 65, that you may have spent your whole life late for the sky.

Good talking with you today.

John,

I pulled the link off Youtube. One of the other videos in the series indicates it is from 2006. It is clearly an outdoor folk festival but beyond that I don't know. If you work your way through the videos and there appear to be some choice selections there might be more identifying information.

The reason I put this up was that Jackson Browne was a huge part of the soundtrack of my college years. If you had a relationship go bad you played Jackson Browne. If you were being reflective you listened to Jackson Browne. If you were itchy to be a troublesome but good natured cosmic cowboy you listened to Jackson Browne.

There was a female friend of mine that made an astute comment at the time. She said a whole generation would be conceived in the weird aqua blue light the old pioneer receivers gave off to the sound of Mr. Browne and to the smell of burning rope.

Hmmh no wonder there is so much ADD and ADHD today.

Jay, I believe this is the Philadelphia Folk Fest in Aug. 2006.
